Where the other City Pack entries draw from street culture, infrastructure, and urban identity, the "Atelier" looks inward — to the Parisian workshop, the creative studio, the space where things are made before they are finished, and the intentional beauty of an object that is still becoming itself.
The construction is the story. Raw-edged canvas panels cover the 95's iconic striated side layers in the overlapping, deliberately imperfect manner of muslin fabric used in pattern cutting — the material of the first draft, the prototype, the toile that exists before the final garment is made. Exposed stitching and frayed textile edges reinforce the purposefully unfinished aesthetic, a design decision that requires more craft to achieve than a clean edge and carries more meaning than most polished finishes. Black suede anchors the mudguard and lowest panels with the structure and contrast that ground the shoe's upper experiment in the silhouette's familiar architecture, while the black and phantom palette across the rest of the upper keeps the color story as restrained as the concept demands — a shoe that says everything through material and almost nothing through color. Racer blue accents punctuate the build at precise points, a single color decision that prevents the palette from disappearing entirely into its own concept.
