The Mitchell & Ness insignia debuted in the NFL in 1933, marking the commencement of a 30-year partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles. Shortly thereafter, in 1938, the brand ventured into professional baseball, supplying uniforms for the Philadelphia Athletics before outfitting the Phillies a few years later.
A pivotal moment arrived in 1985 when a customer sought repairs for his game-worn 1960 Pittsburgh Pirates vest and 1949 St. Louis Browns jersey, igniting a transformative idea.
