Chef Joe Sheridan first introduced Irish Coffee to a room full of abandoned travelers at Foylnes Terminal in 1943. Sheridan did not realize the full impact that one day would have on the rest of the world...
Saucony Originals pays homage to Joe Sheridan and his creation of the Irish Coffee by launching the "Irish Coffee" Pack this Holiday season. The classic Saucony Shadow silhouette, first introduced in 1991, was selected to represent the pack. The sneaker features extra buttery Wolverine Silkee suede on the upper, a white rubber midsole with EVA comfort technology, and gum bottom outsole that pulls the look together. The three coorways in the pack were carefully selected, each one representing an element required to create Irish Coffee. First you start with the base, which is coffee, dark and rich in color and a punchy caffeine hit. Next you need a shot of strong Irish Whiskey, which resembles a golden honey hue. Lastly, you need to top it off with a thick layer of soft cream which floats effortlessly.
The Saucony Originals Shadow 6000 "Irish Coffee" Pack is set to drop throughout December at select Saucony retailers and Saucony.com. Retail will be $120. Sizes 5-12 will be available. Stay tuned with SneakerShouts for more specific release info as it unfolds!
