Nike has opened its first running concept store in Tokyo, located adjacent to Inokashira Park. The area is one of the city's top running locations, which makes setting up the first concept store there a no-brainer.
The remodeled store has two floors and 5,400 square feet. Local artist Shun Sasaki, has his work displayed at the store, which helps create the Swoosh's DNA graphic. The exterior of the store featured slated wooden screens inspired by Japanese woodcraft. The signature "Just Do It" is positioned in the front and center of the store. Digital signs also add extra attention to the storefront, while illuminating the outside.
In additions to shopper, customers can take advantage of personal run clinics, styling advice, and various other services. The store is also set to host weekly Nike+ run clubs.
