NYC's Ronnie Fieg has been pretty much an unstoppable force when it comes to creatives in the sneaker/fashion/retail worlds. As he proved recently with his redesigned Kith store and Kith Treats venture, the man (and his team) has the Midas touch. Adding to his portfolio are these redesigned versions of the Puma Blaze of Glory OG (now the RF-Blaze Of Glory) and the RF698S. In collaboration with Puma and High Snobiety, the Queens native brings a lux touch via butter soft smooth leather as well as quilted leather. The Blaze features navy and red on the shoe's upper with just a few hits of gold on the Kith and HS branding as well as the lace tips. The icing on the cake has to be the double whammy of graphic insoles and the speckled midsoles. Last but not least is the one piece sockliner with the quilted non-branded tongue which fittingly has a star on one and stripes on the other.
The 698s takes us across the pond as HS's German roots take over as smooth black nubuck takes over the entire upper with details such as quilted and moto-like patterns on different panels and one piece sockliner. The half and half black/red midsole provide a break from t he blacked out shoe while a 3M rendition of the German flag rolls down the tongue. The tongue is co-branded, letting everyone know that two highly respected parties came together to make this possible.
Both shoes will release on Friday Septemeber 25th at both Kith locations as well as their online store and Soto Berlin will be the sole German outpost to nab these beauties. Instore purchases will come with a 10th anniversary issue of High Snobiety Magazine as well as special packaging. MSRP is set at $160.
