I'm heading into Miami later this week for a few meetings and then I am taking a few days off and relaxing in the Ft. Lauderdale area. I decided to pick up some last minute "Essentials" from the local Footaction store for my trip.
The Nike Tech Fleece shorts are what originally brought me into the store. My flight into Miami is early tomorrow morning and I realized I need a few extra pair of shorts for my trip. Now a lot of people DISLIKE the $70 price point of the Nike Tech Fleece shorts, but I don't mind it. Tech Fleece Shorts give you a nice tapered fit and they don't shrink or fade easily, giving you a lot more wears. I'm 5'7, my waist size is a 32/33, and I have a skinny athletic build. Of course, I decided to look at what sneakers were on the shelf after I picked out my Nike Tech Fleece shorts. One model I've been a fan of since it was introduced is the Jordan Eclipse. I've been a fan of its simplicity and its usability for those hot Spring/Summer days. I decided to try on a size 9. They do run a bit snug, but for this particular shoe I don't mind it being a little tight. The entire mesh upper with the extra in sole padding around the heel and bottom of the foot gives your feet extra support. I'm excited to beat on these things in Miami. I decided to grab some new socks to pair up with my new pair of Jordan Eclipse. Now whenever you're shopping for socks there will always be the in-store brand that is a lot cheaper or the lower quality Nike/Jordan socks. When it comes to my socks, I'm not really picky. However, the only condition I have is they do have to be Dri-Fit. I don't mind spending a little extra on Dri-fit socks because when you wash them they return to that tight fitting shape opposed to the other lower quality socks which get stretched out easily and become very loose after multiple wears. Dri-Fit also allows for my feet to breathe a lot better under the humid and hot conditions summer brings. You can grab some Dri-fit socks here
Lastly, you know I couldn't make it to Miami without supporting the homies at Johnny Cupcakes. I had to grab some of their new tanks from the summer collection for the beach bar days.
